Fact 1: NW-HEAT has not had an activity this year. Fact 2: NWDUG (Northwest Datatel Users Group)'s annual meeting in Idaho was recently cancelled due to economy/travel restrictions. then Fact 3: An alternative ONE DAY NWDUG meeting is now scheduled at Linfield College for Thursday, July 24---smaller scale, shorter length (it's usually 2-1/2 day) SOOO.. we decided to add a track for NW-HEAT Datatel institutions---on Help Desk issues. "Where does Help Desk fit in---for supporting Datatel users on campus?" It will start at 9 am with a general session. Then Help Desk (user support/client services) folks will have two track sessions before lunch 10:00 - 10:50 CORE Training for Help Desk staff (ask you Datatel support people...what CORE training is... it's more like Datatel fundamentals) 11:00 - 11:50 couple of choices---one on Web interface and other on Queries then during lunch time (noon to 1:30) is a roundtable for various topics. Folks from Help Desk will discuss the fundamental question "Where does Help Desk fit in?" At 1:30---there will be door prizes and general discussion on future issues. Fact 1: NW-HEAT has not had an activity this year. Fact 2: NWDUG (Northwest Datatel Users Group)'s annual meeting in Idaho was recently cancelled due to economy/travel restrictions. then Fact 3: An alternative ONE DAY NWDUG meeting is now scheduled at Linfield College for Thursday, July 24---smaller scale, shorter length (it's usually 2-1/2 day) SOOO.. we decided to add a track for NW-HEAT Datatel institutions---on Help Desk issues. "Where does Help Desk fit in---for supporting Datatel users on campus?" It will start at 9 am with a general session. Then Help Desk (user support/client services) folks will have two track sessions before lunch 10:00 - 10:50 CORE Training for Help Desk staff (ask you Datatel support people...what CORE training is... it's more like Datatel fundamentals) 11:00 - 11:50 couple of choices---one on Web interface and other on Queries then during lunch time (noon to 1:30) is a roundtable for various topics. Folks from Help Desk will discuss the fundamental question "Where does Help Desk fit in?" At 1:30---there will be door prizes and general discussion on future issues.
